Cabbage Pickle

  1. Wash and finely chop 1 small cabbage.20161206_101656.jpg
  2. We will also need 5 lemons, mustard seeds and methi seeds (fenugreek seeds).20161206_102942.jpg
  3. Dry roast the fenugreek and mustard seeds.20161206_122102.jpg
  4. Transfer the roasted fenugreek and mustard seeds into a grinder and make a fine powder.20161206_123628.jpg
  5. In a bowl, mix the chopped cabbage with red chili powder and salt as per taste preference.20161206_122317.jpg
  6. To this mixture,add the fenugreek and mustard powder and mix well.20161206_123806.jpg
  7. Heat oil in a pan till warm.Let it cool and then pour it in the bowl and mix well.20161206_130751.jpg
  8. Add lemon juice extracted from the lemons. Mix well.20161206_130909
  9. Spicy cabbage pickle is now ready and can be stored in glass/porcelain jars for use.20161206_131259
