Mango Mosambi Daal Fry

A variety of ingredients are needed to make the Mango Mosambi daal fry.

Firstly, peel and cut raw mangoes into cubes and keep aside. Also, juice the mosambi (sweet lime) and keep ready.

Wash moong daal and put into a pressure cooker. Also, put the mango pieces in the cooker to cook.

Once cooked, remove from the cooker and keep aside. In the cooked daal, add chilli powder, turmeric (1 pinch), salt as per preference, MTR sambar powder & coriander powder and mix well.

In a non stick pan, add a little oil. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chana daal (brown split chickpeas) & white gram (split). Sauté till they begin to crackle.

Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.

Add the daal into this and let it simmer for a few minutes. Then add the mango pieces and stir for a few more minutes. In the end , add red chillies and turn off after simmering it for a few minutes.

Turn off the heat and let it cool down a bit. Add the mosambi juice (sweet lime) and mix well. Serve hot.
